Session topics
-
The inner dad
Being a dad to a baby or toddler is a new role, and nobody hands you a script for it. When you feel unsure for a sustained amount of time, that stress can feel like an actual threat to your brain. That’s why our first session is all about understanding and regulating responses. It creates space between whatever is happening and your reaction to it.
-
The connected dad
The truth is, your child doesn’t expect a perfect dad. Showing up, showing you care, and loving your child in your way is just what they need. Our second session talks dads through practical strategies for being present as they connect in small, everyday interactions with their baby or toddler.
-
The partnered dad
The first year with a new baby sees sleep, roles, and expectations all change at once — fast — with no rest. Taking care of yourself, and of whoever is parenting with you, is one of the best things you can do for your child. This session focuses on teaching new dads how to slow down and nurture the support system they have in place.
-
The future-focused dad
Your child might be too young to understand all of your words. But from day one, they feel your energy, see your facial expressions, and watch how you handle life. The fourth and final group session walks dads through identifying values and reflecting on the legacy they want to create through everyday choices.
